…with a watch.
Normaly I wouldn’t get excited about any material things however if it was possible for me to french kiss a watch, this would be the one.
As an adult, I have yet to wear a watch for everyday use whose primary function was not meant for activities such as running. Primarily because I’ve never been a big fan of wearing any sort of jewelry. The only piece of “jewelry” I wear are two shoelaces which I use as necklaces (for sentimental reasons and it’s running related but that’s another story).
Another reason is that there’s a myriad of men’s watches out there and up until now, none have captured everything that I look for in a watch. I’ve never been a big fan of the complicated watches with additional features such as a Tachymeter Scale (which I wouldn’t even know how to use), or those with multiple time zones (don’t need it, I can do the math), or a Chronometer watch (those who know me are quite aware that precision in time and me don’t mix). Although some of these watches are cool or even sophisticated and technical, they seem too chaotic. Nor have I been interested in the simple traditional watches which are just not my cup of tea.
What I am interested in is a well designed watch that is unique but not for the sake of being unique; a watch that doesn’t call too much attention to itself; one which from afar would likely go unnoticed but if one were to examine it closely would realizes the beauty in its minimalism and could appreciate its design. Also of note, several have asked why my digital watches and clocks tend to be set to military time. Reason being is that I enjoy looking at the day as the amount of time that has progressed versus two sets of twelve hour segments, AM & PM.
Having said all this, today while online, I had stumbled across “The” watch for me and can’t wait for it and I to get hitched.
